When we think about the needs of our churches, we must think about what brings us closer to God. In the past couple of months as your new rector I have been given a sense of where we need to be. We have so many ministries going on that we can see God in each one of them. Each individual has their own path to follow.

I can now see that there are a lot of good things going on in our community with people serving from ice cream and cobblers to gardening, Born Again, ECW, vehicle shows, painting, church maintenance, St. Christopher’s, Soul Shop, Healing services as well as many others interests.

We are now looking at a new ministry in technology with set-ting up camera’s, televisions, as well as a new Web page to help those that cannot be physically at church on Sunday’s. We are working with the Foundation to get a grant for our new endeav-or. The new Web page should be set up in the next few months as well as knowing about the grant for the cameras.

Why is this so important to us as a church? We have a num-ber of people that would love to see our services but are not able to attend. This would give them an opportunity to share with us even though they are at a different destination. Not just the older community, but our snow birds as well as people I have had con-tact with over the years. We never know who we might touch and if it may change them. Just since I have been here, I have had a couple ask if we have a site, they can watch our services on. They were from Minesota and were interested in our church.

I am sure that there are always reasons why we as people come together during our lives, but sometimes I feel as though God has put us in contact. The Web will give us another minis-try to help others and to be in one another’s lives.

Let us continue to grow in faith and bring different ministries to one another.
